 Chassis measurement

Chassis adjustment can often present unexpected problems and consume a lot of time for the workshop specialists. And time is money. This is especially true in the automotive workshop. If you want to make significant savings on both, put your money on devices manufactured by Romess, as these will allow you to carry out a great number of chassis measurement tasks quickly and efficiently - and with great precision, too.

CM 09606 inclination measurement device

The CM 09606 inclination measurement device is used to measure the vehicle level at the position of the transverse arm at the front axle and the drive shaft at the rear axle. The values calculated can then be assigned to the adjustment values for camber, toe, and castor. The measured values are displayed in decimal degrees.

Features

  • high measuring accuracy
  • easy handling
  • operates using commercially available batteries (4 x Mignon AA 1.2 V / 2,100 mAh)
  • battery charger

Data transmission and charging station DALA for CM 09606 inclinometer

The data transmission and charging station 09630 is used for the recording of the CM 09606 inclinometer. At the same time, the contact connection for charging the battery and for data transmission is established on the underside of the inclinometer.

Features

  • Easy handling
  • Base station - only needs to be plugged in once
  • Integrated bracket for attachment of wheel alignment computer
  • Battery charging without memory effect

Combination device CM 09905 drive shaft-buckling angle and inclination measuring device

With the combined drive shaft-buckling angle and inclination measurement device CM 09905 both the installation position of the connecting rod and the vehicle level can be measured. The vehicle level is measured to determine the adjustment values for toe, camber, and castor. The installation position of the connecting rod is always significant in instances where customers report vibrations during driving and/or rough acceleration, as this is often caused by deviations from the nominal values for the buckling angle. Up to now, only mechanical tools were available to measure the connecting rod, and it has only been since the invention of the electronic drive shaft-buckling angle inclination measurement device that the process can be carried out more easily and, accordingly, with more precision.

CM 09935 Drive shaft-bucking angle measuring device

If customers complain of vibrations while driving and/or rough acceleration, this is often due to a deviation from the target values for the drive shaft-buckling angle. Up to now, only mechanical tools were available for measuring the connecting rod, and it is only since the invention of the electronic drive shaft-bucking angle measuring device that the process can be carried out more easily and, at the same time, with greater precision. The CM 09935 drive shaft-bucking angle measuring device consists of a hand-held device with graphic display and a sensor for measuring the two planes.

ROE 3018 inclinometer

The ROE 3018 inclinometer is used to measure the angular position of vehicle components. For example, the vehicle level is measured via the position of the transverse arm (Y-axle) at the front axle and the drive shaft at the rear axle (also called Y-axle). The values calculated can then be assigned to the adjustment values for camber, toe, and castor. The inclination of the X axle and the assigned Y-axle is measured. Should there be a deviation of more than +/-7° for the Y-axle, then the measured values must be disregarded to prevent measurement errors. The measured values are displayed in decimal degrees.

RNW 2009 steering wheel balance

The RNW 2009 Romess steering wheel balance with electronic inclination measurement is the most effective tool for axle measurement. With the RNW 2009, Romess offers a testing and adjustment tool with previously unmatched precision. Only an absolutely precise symmetrical positioning of the chassis geometry toward the steering angle guarantees high-quality measurement and/or chassis adjustment. This precise interaction is increasingly important for the prevention of tilted steering wheels and the ensuing customer complaints.

RNW 2009

Features:

  • shock-resistant, anodized aluminum housing, milled from a whole piece
  • pinned mounting on the gauge arm
  • illuminated precision LCD display
  • adjustable measuring frequency on the display
  • latest lithium ion polymer battery technology with charging device and micro USB interface -
  • patented self-centering double retaining bracket.
  • future-proof thanks to exchangeable supporting bracket for deviating steering wheel variants
  • integrated angular compensation for inclined steering wheels
  • additional adjustable acoustic warning signal when departing preset tolerance window
  • latest, interference-free transmission technology (WLAN)
